Responsibilities
- Design and optimize data structures and schemas to improve repository performance.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple data sources and storage systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand requirements and assist in feature engineering and data modeling for machine learning initiatives.
- Develop and manage high-performance data solutions, including real-time processing and analytical databases, with flexibility to deploy additional storage options as needed.
- Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and overall management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, addressing bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies to enhance the company’s data infrastructure.
- Document workflows, processes, and code to support knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with Java or Scala is a plus.
- Proven experience in a Data Engineer or equivalent role, with expertise in managing data streams and databases.
- Hands-on experience with data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Strong background in RDBMS solutions like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google Cloud Big Table, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and data science processes.
- Experience in high-volume, data-intensive industries such as iGaming is an advantage.
